How to choose your snow tires

Winter is here and here in Italy, from North to South, we must have on snow tires or snow chains while traveling on major Italian streets. As a matter of fact from November 1st most of the cities and regions in Italy, as well as Autostrade per l'Italia, have enacted the ordinance.

So this is the right time to choose your snow tires that fits your car. From the user manual you can find out the correct dimensions of tires, finding the number indicating the tread width, the height and the rims' dimension (ex. 205/55/16).

You can choose a symmetrical tread perfect for citycars and small engines, or directions tires that have a peculiar designed called " tree's branch" perfect for rains. Otherwise if you have a sport car or a sport drive and looking for something really performing you can choose the asymmetrical tires, that have more grip.

Then you should have all 4 snow tires and not just the 2 motive ones. As a matter of set with a full set of snow tires you are safer and you have a better grip. So are you ready for winter now?
