What to check up on your car before your holidays departure

Are you ready for holidays? Did you check your car? These are some tips-checks you should do before leaving.

• Check the motor oil: this is one of the most important checks of your car. Motor oil should be checked every 2000 km. The car should straight and the engine cold.

• Check the tires: another important check. You should control the pressure and the usage of your tires. Low pressure and old tires are really dangerous.

• Check the cooling liquid: the colling liquid of your car is important and should be checked every 2-3 years. The check up should be done when the engine is cold.

• Check the lights: in oder to avoid any annoying fine your lights should be all working fine!

• Check the wipers: you should fill the water and soap to clean your wipers, as well as change the old wipers so that your windows are always clean and shining and you can drive safely.

So, if your car's check-up is done you're ready for holidays!

This weekend FASEP is at Autopromotec in Bologna. This biennial fair for automotive equipment and aftermarket products is waiting for you every day from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.



FASEP is located inside hall 19 stand A32 and these are some pictures from yesterday while preparing everything for you!

What happens to F1 tires?

Yesterday the Formula One took place in Bacellona with the GP of Spain, fifth race of the rich calendar. But since the first tests tires had problems. Problems that are being discussed since the very first Grand Prix.

Since 2011 all teams and cars have one label for tires, i.e. Pirelli, that has been requested by FIA to develop a new tire in order to make the races more spectacular with more overtaking, box stop and more fun i general.

The result is definitely not meeting the expectations, or at least not the most positive ones. As a matter of fact the 2013 tires are less durable, especially the soft tires that get hot and damage faster.

Because of that teams and pilots had to change their strategies and go back for the pit-stops in the first 10 rounds, that are crucial for the final position. In addition pilots have really to pay attention because if they're pushing too much, they risk to damage the tires faster, but if they try to preserve them they risk to loose important positions.

So the GP of Spain , as well as the GP of China, has been almost a disaster from this point of view. What will be next?

YOKOHAMA Develops New Inner Liner Technology for Commercial Vehicle

Yokohoma announced the development of a new inner liner technology for commercial vehicle, that improves the ability to maintain air pressure.

As a matter of fact this new inner liner reduces the natural air leakage by about 30% and maintains air pressure better. The consequence is the production of lighter tires that will be soon introduced at plants overseas. At the moment the new liners are manufactured and tested only in Japan.

The reduction of tires' inflation will also reduce fuel consumption due to rolling resistance, and improve wear and safety. These are the main reasons that pushed YoKohama to research and develop a new inner liner technology since 2009 and these are the good results.

In a month time FASEP will participate to Autopromotec 2013, an important fair in the  Vehicle Service.

Autopromotec is a biennial fair for automotive equipment and aftermarket products, that is one of the main appointments for people interested in plant, equipments and materials for car repair workshops, vehicle body repair shops, vehicle electricians, tyre retailers, car dealers, service stations, car washes and specialized centers for the repair of means of transpor. This year the fairs include a large outdoor area entirely dedicated to  truck maintenance products and services.

Of course there will be an area dedicated to tire service equipments, where you will find tyre changers, wheel aligners and wheel balancers. In that area you will find also FASEP, that will be located inside hall 19 stand A32.

Autopromotec 2013 will be from May 22nd to 26th at Bologna Trade Fair Center. It will be open from 9am to 6pm every day and on Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Visitors can have free tickets. We really hope to see you there!
